Fishing Reports

4-25-18

Pretty much the same thing off the surf, back bay and the Toms River with mostly short bass. For the bait and waiters bunker chunks and clams is the way to go off the surf and bloodworms and bunker chunks continues to produce in the river especially early morning, dusk and after dark. Artificials are working as well such as X-Raps, SP Minnows and swim shads.

We have a couple sales going on at the Hook House.

Same thing off the surf yesterday with some short bass mostly hitting bait. We did hear of a few on artificials though. Shorts again last night in the Toms River. One of our customers just missed a keeper as he picked up a bunch up to 27 inches. there are fish around so get out there if you can. Still waiting on the blues.

Shorts off the surf again yesterday hitting clams and bunker chunks. The back bay and the Toms River produced shorts on bloods and small artificials. Adam Aguiar picked up shorts in the Island Heights area yesterday morning on bloods. A couple more reports of some tide runner weakfish came in from the Oyster Creek area.

Same thing off the surf with a few short bass hitting mostly bait. Bunker chunks and clams is the way to go. Shorts again in the Toms River hitting bloods and small artificials. Some weakfish moved into the Oyster Creek area according to a couple customers targeting them. We have fresh clams at the Hook House and plenty of bloods.

Not many fisherman out yesterday but one of our customers got a couple short bass on the South end of IBSP on artificials. The back bay, Oyster Creek and the Toms River produced again. We had bass on the Ocean Gate side in the dark early this morning in one of the coves all on artificials. Good time to get out there if you can.
