Shorts off the surf hitting clams was the word from a couple customers who hit the beach early yesterday. Jack Monteiro weighed in a nice 20 lb 4oz bass he got live lining bunker off of Seaside in 40 feet of water. Jim Humbert took his daughter out last night to Seaside Park where she got her first blue which was 32 inches and weighed 13 1/2 pounds on a bunker chunk. Kevin Morrison weighed in a 21 pound bass he got on live eels at the canal. Gene Murphy also weighed in a 17.2 pound bass he got on live eels as well at the canal. More live eels came in today as well as fresh bunker. We also have fresh clams and killies in stock.

Short bass along with some blues off the surf yesterday hitting clams and bunker chunks. Steve Domanski released a 22 inch short that hit clams in Seaside. The kayak fisherman and those walking and wading are doing well with blues and short bass behind IBSP. One of our customers trolling the Toms River and the bridge picked up 4 blues and released a short bass that hit Hook House ponytails. Good night bite on the Ocean Gate side with blues hitting poppers and other artificials. More fresh clams, fresh bunker, killies and shiners came into the Hook House. We also have everything you need for fluke at both shops so stop in and pick up what you need on your way out.

Short bass and blues hitting bunker chunks off the surf yesterday. A few fluke were taken off of IBSP on bucktails tipped with Gulp and a teaser. Jetty Ghost Mullnuts worked for one of our customers. You can jig for fluke with these or use a steady retrieve for bass and blues. Virginia and Abigail Murphy got into the blues again last night in the Toms River. Bunker chunks was the ticket.
