Fishing Reports

7-28-18

Good reports of fluke yesterday off the local beaches and especially IBSP from those targeting them with bucktails tipped with Gulp and a teaser. Rays stealing rods out of rod holders from a couple guys not paying attention. Short bass hitting shads by the bridge. Snappers and crabs on both sides of the Toms River was good again yesterday. More fresh bunker and fresh clams came in and we have plenty of live eels and killies.

For those of you who have been waiting for Jetty Ghost Mullnut's they came in today to the Hook House in all the popular colors so stop in and grab one or two before they are gone.

A bunch of short fluke along with a couple keepers were reported by two of our customers who were drifting the BB and BI bouy yesterday with a killie and squid combo. Snappers and crabs were good again on both sides of the Toms River. We have fresh bunker, live eels and plenty of killies.

Not many fisherman off the surf so we didn't hear to much. Decent bass bite last night at the canal for a couple guys fishing live eels. Crabs and snappers are keeping people busy on both sides of the Toms River. We have fresh bunker and more killies and live eels came in today.

Quiet off the surf due to conditions and lack of participation. Crabs and snappers in the back bay, lagoons and both sides of the Toms River did well for those targeting them yesterday.

The weather forecast the last couple of days kept A LOT of people off the local beaches so the surf report was a little slow. There were a few fluke caught early yesterday morning on IBSP from one of our customers who picked up two in the 17 inch range. Most of the reports came from those crabbing and snapper fishing in the river and all were positive. More fresh bunker just came in and we have plenty of live eels and killies so stop in and pick up what you need.
