Fishing Reports

5-19-14

There were Bass and Blues in the surf "early" yesterday morning hitting bunker chunks, poppers and metals. We are still waiting for the official results from the Governor's Surf Fishing Tournament and will let you know when we get them. The Bluefish bite in the back bay and Toms River is picking up nicely with blues hitting small poppers, swimmers and bunker chunks.

We have Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker which we had to get more of yesterday and it's going to be a nice day so stop in and pick up what you need in either shop.

Another good day on our local beaches yesterday with big Blues and some keeper Bass. John Hudler brought in a nice 10 lb Drum to add to the mix. Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker came in yesterday afternoon and we have large assortment of frozen baits for your fishing needs.

There were Blues in the bay and river yesterday as well. Dennis was out in his boat and picked up a couple trolling around the Rt. 37 bridge on our hand made ponytails.

Good Luck to Everyone in the Governor's Surf Fishing Tournament Today.

Some big Blues hit the beach early yesterday and those throwing metal got in on the action. There were some bass mixed in but mostly shorts. Today is going to be nice and we will open at 5 AM. We have Fresh Clams and Bunker. We also got in a fresh batch of sandworms and bloodworms yesterday as well as live eels.

Some larger bass and Blues came into the surf yesterday. Shawn Casey brought in a keeper at Go Fish Bait & Tackle that he caught on a bunker chunk. Fish were hitting on bunker, clams, metals and poppers in the Seaside and IBSP area. We have Fresh Bunker and Clams at both shops and don't forget that bunker snag.

The Blues action was also good in the back bay again yesterday with fish up to 10 lbs that were trolled up with our hand made ponytails which come in a variety of colors. Stop in either shop and check them out.

Lou Satucci brought in a nice 21 inch 4.60 lb Rainbow Trout on power bait.
