Fishing Reports

12-4-17

Mostly shorts off the surf yesterday especially if you were moving. Metals, shads and swimmers is the way to go with a teaser and a lot of these shorts are hitting the teaser. If your throwing artificials, first light, dusk and after dark seem to be the times to target so break out those AOK's, Jetty Ghosts and SP Minnows with a teaser in front. Bunker chunks and salted clams is the choice for the bait and waiters. The boats continue to do well trolling Maja bunker spoons and Mojos and when finding a pod of bunker the snag and drop is working as well. We have plenty of salted clams in stock and Murphy's still has some live eels. We have a small amount of fresh bunker with hopefully more coming in this afternoon.

More keepers were picked up yesterday off the surf with plenty of shorts around as well. Those throwing metals, swimmers and shads with a teaser picked up fish early yesterday morning. One of our regular customers picked up 3 shorts that all hit the teaser at first light yesterday. Bunker chunks worked for the bait and waiters as Kami Gordon picked up a nice keeper on bunker chunks. The night bite was decent for a few guys throwing needlefish and swimmers with a teaser in a couple locations. There are fish around so get out there if you can.

And the beat goes on with short bass hitting artificials with a teaser off the local beaches. Move around if you can with metals and small swimmers. Bunker is the bait of choice if your hanging out and waiting for them to come to you. Good reports of a night bite last night in a couple spots.

Get out there
