Fishing Reports

11-5-18

It was a pick off the surf the last couple of days depending on where you were. Clams and bunker chunks for the bait fisherman and those moving with artificials picked up a few shorts in a couple spots but it was nothing major. The night bite has been better. Short bass on both sides of the Toms river hitting bait and artificials. Mike Mullen picked up a few perch today along with a short bass in the Island Heights area. Just saw a video of James Blandino picking up bass a few minutes ago on artificials. Not raining to hard so grab the rain gear and get out there.

A few short bass reported off the surf yesterday but nothing crazy from a couple customers using bunker chunks and clams. Heard of a few keepers after dark on artificials. There are some large bass North of us as the boats are cashing in by snagging and dropping bunker. The canal continues to produce bass after dark on live eels and the blackfish are hitting green crabs. Short bass on both sides of the Toms River and by the bridge hitting artificials. Swimmers, poppers ( in a couple spots ) and swim shads are working early morning, dusk and after dark. Fresh clams, eels and more fresh bunker came in today.

Short bass with keepers mixed in off the local beaches during the day and night yesterday hitting both bait and artificials. Clams and bunker chunks remains the baits of choice. For those moving with bucktails, metals, swimmers and swim shads are picking up fish in different areas. One of our customers came in and said he had 4 bass that all hit a teaser so it's time. Boats North of us are scoring some nice bass and hopefully heading our way. We have fresh bunker with more coming in this afternoon and we have  fresh clams and live eels.

Another delivery of Alan's Custom Lures came in to the Hook House as well as AOK T-Hex's and PB 40's with bucktail and flo green tails for those of you who have been asking for them.
