Blues and albies cruising the local beaches the last couple of days. Move around with slim profile metals. A few bass at dusk and after dark hitting swimmers was reported by a few of our customers using SP Minnows in a couple spots off the surf. Short bass taking artificials early morning, dusk and after dark in spots on both sides of the Toms River so move around and you might find them. They are moving and not concentrated in one spot. We have fresh bunker, fresh clams, live eels, plenty of salted clams and green crabs at the Hook House. For the freshwater fisherman we have Nightcrawlers, garden worms and killies.

We are running a one day 30% off sale today Saturday 10-27-18 from 6AM - 6PM so stop in and pick up a few things you might need. Bait and line is not included.

Starting to see a few more bass showing up off the surf hitting artificials. Early morning, dusk and after dark and "moving" is working for the few out there trying the last couple of days. The Toms River and back bay produced short bass after dark on the Ocean Gate side and small poppers (Smack It Jr's) and small swimmers worked for a couple guys we know.

The Hook House received in a very large delivery of just about everything so stop in and load up on what you need because things are starting to happen.

Windy today but it should be at your back off the surf. Small blues reported by a number of customers off the local beaches popping in and out. One guy had them on an AVA 17 with a white tail. Mullet, bunker chunks and clams are the baits of choice. Moving with metals, poppers and swimmers will increase your odds. Short bass again last night in the back and the Toms river. Blackfish bite at the canal is good but a lot of shorts reported for those trying for them with green crabs and clams. We have plenty of fresh clams, salted clams and fresh mullet in stock.
