Fishing Reports

11-23-17

Shorts and small blues hitting artificials early yesterday morning. Shads, SP Minnows and small metals with a "Teaser" along with "Moving" around increased your odds. Bunker chunks and clams are the bait of choice for the bait and waiters hoping something comes in but moving around with artificials is the way to go and don't forget a bunker snag just in case. A few nice bass were picked up at the canal last night from a couple guys fishing live eels. Fresh bunker came in late last night but not a lot so if your heading out this morning stop in and grab what you need before they are gone.

Murphy's will be open today until 1 pm.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Murphy's and Go Fish Bait & Tackle.

Mostly shorts again yesterday morning with a few keepers mixed in hitting artificials off the local beaches. Jim Mathis had 3 shorts on IBSP on Tsunami swim shads and Greg Wildermuth picked up bass on a Bone colored SP Minnow yesterday morning. More shorts were reported at dusk and after dark from a few guys moving around. We heard of short bass and some small blues hitting artificials this morning so get out there if you can.

Murphy's will be open until 8 PM tonight and will be open on Thanksgiving from 5 AM to 1PM

Go Fish will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Shorts with a few keepers around yesterday off the local beaches before dark last night hitting artificials especially in one spot where they decided to come in. Move around if you can. We had one customer that was baiting and waiting with bunker chunks pick up 3 shorts in the 20 - 24 inch range and he said the guy next to him had a keeper around 30 inches. There are fish around but you have to work for them.

Bass and blues around the last couple of days and moving with metals, poppers and swimmers was the way to go as they showed up in a few spots. If your baiting and waiting bunker chunks or clams is the bait of choice. Congrats to young Randy Mize who weighed in a 30 inch 11 pound bass he got on clams in Seaside. We have fresh bunker, fresh clams, green crabs and live eels at Murphy's.

Pretty good day off the local beaches yesterday as there was plenty of bait around with bass on them. Bunker chunks and clams worked for the bait and waiters and those throwing poppers and swimmers cashed in as well. The bunker got pushed in at a couple locations and those snagging and dropping with a bunker snag picked up fish. It definitely picked up so get out there if you can. We have fresh bunker, fresh clams, green crabs and live eels at Murphy's so stop in and pick up what you need on your way out and don't forget a bunker snag.
