Fishing Reports

Move around with artificials (and a teaser) is the key.

Good Luck to the Murphy crew in the Lake Shenandoah fishing tourney.

Scattered shorts off the surf was the word yesterday. If you were moving with artificials your odds increased. Depending on where you were it was hit or miss for the bait and waiters. Short bass again last night on both sides of the Toms River hitting bloods and artificials. We have everything you need at both shops so stop in and pick up what you need on your way out.

A few blues showed up yesterday off the surf. Short bass with a couple keepers reported off of IBSP hitting clams, bunker chunks and SP Minnows. We know of 2 keepers last night in the Toms River along with shorts hitting bloodworms. We have fresh bunker and more fresh clams came in today.

Hungry shorts off the surf again yesterday along with a couple keepers hitting clams, bunker chunks and artificials. These fish are all over so pick a spot and give it a shot. Shorts and a couple keepers in the river as well yesterday. Dennis was out trolling by the bridge and picked up a couple shorts along with 6 nice blue claws in his pot. Nick England picked up a nice 32" bass he got on a perch rig using bloods in the Toms River. Enrico Cangelosi picked up a nice 31 inch bass in the river on bloods as well. Plenty of shorts and a keeper on the Ocean Gate side last night in between 10 pm and midnight. All fish were caught on artificials. Shads, X-raps and a couple custom plugs did the trick. We have fresh clams, fresh bunker and bloods at the Hook House so get out there if you can.

Plenty of action off the surf the last couple of days with mostly short bass. Clams and bunker chunks for the bait and waiters. A number of artificials are working so pick your poison and move around if you can. Short bass continue to hit bait and artificials on "both" sides of the Toms River early morning, dusk and after dark is the best time but there are shorts being caught during the day. Bloodworms is the bait of choice for those fishing bait and a number of artificials are working as well. Good time to get out there. We just got in fresh bunker, fresh clams, fresh shucked clams and bloodworms. We also got in a large delivery into the Hook House so stop in and check out some of the new items we have in stock.
