The fluke bite off the surf yesterday was good for those targeting them and moving. Kyle Kozlowski who picked up a couple keepers on Tuesday in Lavalette on a white Jetty Ghost Mullnut came in and got an olive/gold/white one and did well again yesterday. There are still small blues around in the back bay and the fluke bite has been good for a couple of our customers in boats in certain spots. Bill Dillon weighed in a nice 6.06 pound fluke this morning he got on a bucktail tipped with Gulp at the Barnegat Inlet. Plenty of snappers in the river to keep you busy and the crabbing was good for a couple of our customers yesterday.

Today through Sunday July 16th 2017 all in stock rod and reel combos pre made are 20% off at Murphy's and Go fish Bait & Tackle.

Some Gator blues popping in and out off the local beaches hitting bunker chunks and mullet for those baiting and waiting and hoping they come in. Those moving with artificials and finding them are having better luck. Fluke off the surf off of IBSP and the local beaches has been good as well if your hitting the holes and moving. Kyle Kozlowski picked up 2 keepers over 18 inches off of Lavalette using a Jetty Ghost 2 oz white Mullnut with a Gulp teaser in front and he also had a bunch of shorts. If kingfish is an option gear down with a smaller rod and a kingfish rig as they are around. Snappers in the back and in the Toms River are keeping families busy while crabbing. We have fresh bunker and plenty of killies in stock so stop in and pick up what you need on your way out.

Some gator blues, fluke and kingfish were reported from the surf yesterday. Gear down for fluke and kingfish. Jig for fluke with a bucktail tipped with Gulp and a teaser in front or try a kingfish rig with clams and a 2 oz bank sinker and hold the rod. Once you find the zone they are in so are you and be ready for the strike. kingfish are very tasty. A couple friends did well with 4 keeper fluke on the boat drifting the BB and BI bouy and another spot. Crabs might be starting to slow for a couple days as they are getting ready to shed with the full moon coming. Fresh Clams and Fresh Bunker came in so we have everything you need.

Get out there and enjoy the day.

Some larger blues decided to stay around and play again off the surf hitting metals and swimmers for those moving. Bunker chunks and mullet worked for those baiting and waiting. A couple good reports of fluke again off of IBSP from one of our customers using a Jetty Ghost Mullnut with a teaser in front jigging the holes. He also had a couple Gator blues in the 12 lb range on a steady retrieve. There are kingfish around as well so if you want to target them gear down with with a smaller rod and a 2 oz bank sinker and a kingfish rig with a small piece of clam, fishbite or Gulp bloodworm and see what happens. More Fresh bunker came in yesterday and fresh clams will be here this morning. We have plenty of killies in stock as well as an assortment of frozen baits for all your fishing and crabbing needs.
